Bruxelles -- Premiere partie

Designed by engineer Andre Waterkeyn for the International Exhibition of Brussels in 1958.
The Atomium represents an iron crystal, magnified 165 billion times.
Made entirely of steel and from its height of 102 meters, the structure stands on three enormous bipods and dominates the Heysel plateau.
Its nine large spheres connected by 20 tubes are arrange in the configuration of a central cubic system.
