It was the start of the week...and what a miserable day it was.......Elsa was off to school after a week of school break and Mr Dudwey was off for a 2 weeks business trip to the far east. The weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter and it started to rain today.
I am left with what looked like a disaster area that we called home!! My lawn is littered with leaves, mine and the neighbours, and itching to be raked. Just have to remind meself not to do it too early in the morning, or the neighbour will be none too pleased.
I will have to forgo my ritualistic trip to the gym as the house was in such dire need of a good housekeeping. Enough said.
For dinner, we wanted something simple, everything in a plate sort of dish, so that we can curled up in front of the TV .......it was movie night for Elsa and me. Thank God it was not the High School Musical....
Fried Rice with Prawns and Vegetables 2 cups cooked rice 200 g prawns, skinned and deveined 1 garlic clove, minced 3 spring (green) onions Chinese cabbage 1/2 cup green peas 2 eggs 2 tbsp fish sauce 1 - 2 tbsp dark sweet soy sauce 1 - 2 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tbsp vinegar 1 - 2 tsp sesame oil
Heat up a wok under high heat. Add in minced garlic.
Put in the prawns and stir-fry until just cooked. Add in spring onions, cabbages and peas.
