Edinburgh

New Town

We did promise Elsa a day of shopping will be included in the holiday itinerary.
So, we headed to the part of Edinburgh that is known as New Town.
New Town is the main shopping and commercial district of Edinburgh.

 A day at the mall had left Elsa grinning from ear to ear....

A little rest and relaxation at the nearby Princes Street Garden.

The Scott Monument
  A Victorian Gothic monument to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott.

Inside the gothic monument

Don't get mad at me, Elsa... I did warn you I'm gonna put this photo in my blog!!

We managed to climb up to the 3rd viewing deck but decided against going to the top most deck as the stairs are just too narrow and it was getting too claustrophobic...
I guess I'll never work in a submarine!

Late lunch at Jenners with the view of the controversial tram line on Princes Street.

And men below and saints above;
For love is heaven, and heaven is love.
