Word got around fast about a little shop in town selling fresh seafood.
I was first shown to this place by Yatie, my baby sister. And later my friends got wind of this place and was ever so happy to spend their time mucking about amidst smelly boxes of seafood galore.
I, for one, am not a big fish eater; unless they have been stripped of their skins and bones and looking totally unfish-like. But I do like my prawns and squids.
So, when the ladies decided on a steamboat lunch, I approached it with much trepidation, hoping that there will be no fish faces staring back at me....
I was given the task of making the stock for the array of ingredients; to make the stock I use
2 litres chicken stock
1 large red onion
5 garlic cloves, crushed
1 knob ginger
3 kaffir lime leaves
3 lemongrass stalks, bruised
salt and pepper, to taste
Thank you ladies for such a wonderful day; the weather may have been dull and grey, but we had such great fun eating more than usual and laughing louder than ever.... don't forget to get back on the treadmills tomorrow, girls!!
