Plum and Blueberry Crumble

Plum and Blueberry Crumble

8 plums, cut into wedges
1 cup blueberries
1/4 cup light brown sugar

For topping
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup chopped walnut
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 oz butter, cubed

Preheat oven to 180C. 

Toss together all filling ingredients in a shallow baking dish and bake 10 minutes or until the fruits are slightly softened.
Meanwhile, blend together all topping ingredients in a bowl with your fingertips until butter is evenly distributed and mixture is crumbly.
Sprinkle topping evenly over the  fruit filling, then sprinkle some chopped walnuts, small knobs of butter and golden caster sugar over it and bake until topping is crisp and golden and fruit is bubbling, about 30 minutes.
