On our road trip recently, we made a one-night stopover in Inveraray,
a small town that sits on the western shores of Loch Fyne with a gorgeous setting of hills and lakes.
It was low-tide when we went out for a walk in the morning,
which came as a complete surprise to me, as I would never have thought of a lake as having any form of water fluctuations, unlike the sea.
Well, you live and learn, I'll say...
We didn't have to wait long until the tide came in.
The water was extraordinary calm, flat and glassy, and coupled with blue skies, it made for ideal photo-taking opportunities.
The town's main street with large white-harled building on both sides.
