Meatloaf FiloPie











Meatloaf FiloPie

400g lean mince meat
2 large sweet onions (coarsely diced)
3 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp fresh thyme
salt and ground black pepper

1 pack filo pastry





Melt 3 tbsp butter.
Grease a shallow cake tin with a little oil.
Add one layer of filo pastry, Lightly brush with melted butter. 
Spread second sheet on top then brush with a little of the melted butter. This ensures a flaky result.
Repeat until pastry finish.





In a mixing bowl, mix together the mince meat and the rest of the other ingredients.
Transfer the mix into the baking tin and pat down until level.
Cover the top of the mixture with the layer of pastry, and stick the layers down using more of the melted butter.
Bake in 180C oven for 40 minutes.
