Cinnamon Crackles

More biscuits, please...

I guess all the studying has made my girl crave for some sweet snacks.
Since she absolutely adores cinnamon, I made a batch of these biscuits just for her
and I promise you that your kitchen will be smelling like the most wonderfully scented woodland

Cinnamon Crackles

125g butter
1/2 cup caster sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/3 cup flour

2 tbsp caster sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 190C

Using an electric mixer, cream the butter until soft.
Beat in the sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the vanilla and egg and beat thoroughly.
Sift the flour and add to the creamed mixture.
Mix well.

Form about 1/2 tablespoon of the mixture at a time into a small ball
and roll in the combined sugar and cinnamon.
Place on ungreased baking trays, flatten slightly and bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until golden.
Cool on the trays until crisp. 


  1. Frank likes cinnamon too!! depa leh gang.. what if i substitute the white flour with the wheat flour, jadi dak do u think?

    1. dulu aci tak berapa suka sangat cinnamon, tapi la ni bila dok buat kat Elsa, aci pun ikut terrrminat :)
      I think if you use whole wheat flour it'll make the biscuits heavy and dense. Maybe you can use 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cup whole wheat flour and sift 1 tsp baking powder into the flour.
