Lunch at Uma and Deva's

A banana leaf special
What a treat!
In all those years of living in Malaysia, I've never had the experience of having an authentic Indian meal on banana leaves. Oh, right... maybe once, when our neighbour in Miri made thosai and served it on banana leaves.
But this one's something I've never come across before... downright special!
Alright, you might say it's not exactly banana leaves we're getting... with the price of "fresh" banana leaves on the market, we might as well have the meal on bone china dishes!

a spicy dry chicken curry

fried long beans

fried agati leaves

papads

sweet sour aubergine

crispy fried bitter gourd

My contribution - Chocolate Orange Cake, not exactly Indian but graciously accepted by everyone :)
