Simple Wholemeal Bread

Simple Wholemeal Bread

630g wholemeal bread flour
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp vit. C
1/2 tsp bread improver
7g sachet instant yeast
450ml warm water

In a bowl, mix together the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
Stir in the vegetable oil.
Add warm water and mix to form a soft dough.
Knead for 10 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic. Shape as desired and place into loaf tin.
Preheat oven to 230˚C.
Cover dough with clingfilm and leave to rise in a warm place for around 45 minutes or until double in size.
Place in the center of your preheated oven and bake for around 30 minutes. When ready, the bread should sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Remove from the oven and cool on a wire tray.
