Croque Madame M


A simple brunch recipe using ingredients readily available in most homes...





How to make Croque Madame M

cut soft bap in half


roll the bread with a rolling pin to about half its original thickness
coat bread in melted butter – both sides (this stops it getting soggy)


place the slices into ramekins



add smoked salmon into the bottom of each bread cup



break a raw egg on top of the smoked salmon


coat the edges of the bread cups with some melted butter
sprinkle some black pepper


Place in oven at 180C  for 15 minutes for runny egg or 20 minutes for firmer egg



pour hollandaise sauce over the egg


and serve

      I know right, hollandaise sauce memang sedap tapi tak boleh buat selalu - very calorific :D
