Arabian Shortbread

Arabian Shortbread

1 cup semi-skimmed milk powder
3 cups plain flour
1/4 tsp salt
 1 cup clarified butter (samneh)
1 tsp orange blossom water

1 cup icing sugar

 In a medium bowl, sift together the milk powder, flour and salt.
Then add them to the softened butter and orange blossom water.
Mix on low speed until the dough starts to come together.
Dump onto a surface dusted with flour and bring everything together with your hands. 
 Wrap each piece in plastic and chill for 30 minutes before rolling dough into balls.
Bake for 12-16 minutes in 180C oven until slightly golden on the bottom.
Place icing sugar in a medium-sized bowl. 
Toss the warm shortbread to coat.
Store in a cool dry place.
