Food Fair

To celebrate the Year of Food and Drink Scotland 2015
this one-day food festival was held at Cults Academy on 20th September.

At the heart of the event there was a farmers’ market, with over 20 stalls, where visitors can enjoy
meeting a wide selection of local food producers and sampling their creations.

Craig Wilson, The Kilted Chef, from Eat on the Green were at the event performing cooking demonstrations, using ingredients from the farmers' market.

There were lots of tasty options for lunch including
a hog roast from Andrew Gordon The Lean Butcher,
authentic Mexican food from FreshMex,
Malaysian food from Mary’s Kitchen
and freshly made pizza for kids from Euan Abel Pizza.
Steamin-a-Heid will be serving hot drinks from their Piaggio van
and for dessert, cakes from Marianne’s Market and ice cream from Stew ‘n’ Drew’s.

There were lots of fun foodie activities to entertain the kids including crafts, quizzes, competitions, a food trail, balloon modelling and facepainting.
