Autumnal Lunch - Sarawak Stylie




A gloriously beautiful autumn day
spent with my besties!





Since all of us have some sort of Borneo connection
- me, having to spend the best part of almost 15 years "stranded" on that island -
I decided to make Laksa Sarawak from scratch
A daunting task for many reasons - 
One, I've never made Laksa Sarawak before in my life, not even with store-bought paste
preferring instead to sample the scrumptious plateful made by my kind and generous friends
or/and having them at various eateries in Sarawak - favourite being the one from the Boat Club in Piasau
Next reason - I'm feeding a bunch of Laksa Sarawak connoisseurs 
What was I thinking!




Smiles!!! Approvals??!!
I'd like to think so...









We ended the day with a slice of Chocolate prune Cake


And here's to friendship....
Best friends don’t necessarily have to talk every day. 
We don’t even need to talk for weeks. 
But when we do, it’s like we never stopped talking.
