Tempeh Crisps


When feeling peckish or just bored
and when you have that itch to grab a snack
here's something healthy(-ish) for you to nibble 



Tempeh Crisps

  2 blocks tempeh
  1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or Asian chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
  sea salt
freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 130C
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Slice tempeh into thin slices
Arrange the slices onto the baking sheet, making sure they do not overlapped
In a small bowl, mix the rest of the other ingredients together.
Using a pastry brush, brush the spice mixture on both side of the sliced tempeh
Bake for about 1 hour, turning the slices ever so often, until golden brown and crispy
